Carole M. Helm 76 of Lewistown died Monday evening August 23rd, 2010 at Valle Vista Manor from complications of Alzheimer’s with her family by her side.   She was born May 14, 1934 in Malta, Montana the daughter of James S. and Clara L. (Lafond) Brockway.  She began her schooling in Turner, Montana and at the age of 15 she moved to California and completed her schooling in Monterey.  On July 1, 1960 she was united in marriage to Doyle Helm in Monterey and they made their home there.  She worked as an elevator operator in downtown Monterey.  She later sold LaVoy Clothing and was an Avon Representative.  In 1973 they moved to Montana settling in the Stanford area where they ranched until moving into Lewistown in 1975.  In 1980 she began working for Mutual of Omaha with Paul Gies.  She later bought into Central Montana Insurance Agency wherehe worked until her retirement in 2001.

Carole loved to quilt and made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed knitting, china painting, doing leatherwork, her flower garden and square dancing.  After retirement she spent time traveling and fishing which she enjoyed very much.

She was a member of the Soroptmist Club of Lewistown, the Investment Club and the Gourmet Club.

She is survived by her husband Doyle of Lewistown; sons Matt of Lewistown, Brad of Wichita, KS and James of Coeur d’Alene, ID; daughter Leslie Colver of Lewistown, MT.  Nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son Thomas, her parents, one brother and one sister.

Memorial Services for Carole M. Helm will be Saturday, August 28th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church.  Private Family Inurnment will take place in Central Montana Memorial Gardens.  Cremation has taken place; Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.

Doris L. Lane, 84 of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at her home of natural causes.  She was born September 19, 1925 to parents Charles and Gladys (Howe) Marr in Platteville, Wisconsin.  The family later moved to Montana settling in Denton.  Doris graduated from Denton High School in 1943.  After high school, she moved to Great Falls where she worked as a telephone operator for Mountain States Phone Company.  On March 20, 1968 Doris was united in marriage to John J. Lane in Elko, Nevada.  Together they lived in Lewistown for many years.  John preceded Doris in death in 1986.

Doris enjoyed bowling, reading, shopping and her downtown lunches with her many friends.  She was a member of the Moore Women’s Club and life member of Marie Chapter #36, O.E.S.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Charles and Howard.

A private burial for Doris L. Lane will be held in the Lewistown City Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.

Maxine Crees, 78, died Wednesday evening, August 25, 2010 at her residence in Hobson of natural causes.
 
Funeral services for Maxine Crees will be held at the Creel Funeral Chapel in Lewistown on Saturday, August 28 at 4:00 p.m.
 
Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Grand River, Iowa.
Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
