“Corner Crossing Bill” an Erosion of Property Rights

Calling HB235, “The Corner Crossing bill,” an erosion of private property rights, the Montana Stockgrowers Association is currently encouraging its members and others to contact representatives within the House Judiciary Committee to express their concerns.

The bill, which would make it so that crossing from one piece of pubic land at the corner to another piece of public land, even if there is private property on the corners, would not constitute trespassing, was heard before the committee on Monday. They are scheduled to take executive action on the legislation Wednesday morning.
