The testing date windows for the National Federation Tests for all new registered officials in football or volleyball is August 14– September 5. All current officials needing to upgrade to Certified or Master in either sport will be August 14 – 21. The test must be taken online at the MOA Arbiter website, and detailed instructions can be obtained from the MOA Coordinator at the offices of the Montana High School Association. Any individuals interested in becoming either a football or volleyball official may also register and pay their dues online at https://moa.arbitersports.com.

Officials must have the MOA Rules Clinics in Football and/or Volleyball viewed by August 24 to receive credit. All officials must also individually complete the National Federation Learn Concussion in Sports course by logging on to www.nfhslearn.com. This must be completed prior to working any contest (regular, pre-season, Jr. High, or scrimmage) and should be done so immediately.

The first meeting for the Lewistown Football Officials Association will be Tuesday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Fergus High School. Any prospective officials interested in officiating football for the 2016 season are encouraged to contact Troy Eades at 535-3089.

The first meeting for the Lewistown Volleyball Officials Association will be Monday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Fergus High School. Any prospective officials interested in officiating volleyball for the 2017 season are encouraged to contact Sterling Sundheim at 366-2361.

There is unprecedented need for new officials in both sports. Any individuals interested in working with student athletes and giving back to their community is encouraged to become members of the Montana Officials Association.
