HOBSON - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to build about 1.6 miles of snow fence adjacent to Montana Highway 200 (MT-200) east of Hobson in Judith Basin County.

The project begins north of Hobson on MT-200 at reference post 58.6 and extends east for 4.6 miles, ending at reference post 63.2.

Proposed work includes constructing about 8,200 feet of 8-foot-high wooden snow fence. The purpose of the project is to prevent snow drifting onto the roadway and provide a safe roadway for the travelling public.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in the spring or summer of 2019, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. Utility relocations are not expected.
